The Chairman of the seven-member National Economic Dialogue committee, Dr. Ishmael Yamson, has expressed confidence in President John Dramani Mahama’s ability to transform Ghana.
According to him, economic transformation worldwide has always been led by a single visionary leader, and in Ghana’s case, Mahama has been blessed with the wisdom to take on that role.
Dr. Yamson made these remarks on the first day of the dialogue on Monday, March 3, 2025.
“Someone has to reset the country, and it can only be you. Everywhere in the world that economic transformation has taken place, only one individual has led the charge, and the Lord has blessed you with the wisdom to take on that task,” he declared.
Stressing the critical role of leadership, Dr. Yamson urged Mahama to embrace the responsibility Ghanaians have entrusted to him.
The National Economic Dialogue, themed “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” brings together policymakers, economists, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for economic recovery.
