Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South Constituency, Darkoa Newman, has shared her numerous achievements and future plans for her constituency.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, she noted that she has been instrumental in addressing various infrastructure, healthcare, and education challenges faced by her constituents.

Ms. Newman stressed her efforts in improving infrastructure within the constituency.

“We have provided washroom facilities and are upgrading the Kaneshie Polyclinic,” she stated.

She also mentioned significant strides in road construction, starting with the drainage system.

Despite some delays due to underground pipes, she assured that the contractor is working diligently to make the roads motorable.

On women’s empowerment, Ms. Newman proudly said, “We have done a lot to empower women across the board.”

Her commitment extends beyond infrastructure to various sectors that directly impact the lives of her constituents.

Understanding the challenges faced by her constituents, Ms. Newman has employed innovative solutions to address them.

She is a strong advocate for education and has initiated several projects to enhance educational opportunities in Okaikwei South.

“Education is a priority, and I have worked hard to create better educational facilities and opportunities,” she remarked.

Ms. Newman has actively worked to improve healthcare infrastructure and facilities in her constituency and has organized health campaigns and awareness programs to promote preventive healthcare.

“Infrastructure development has been a key focus,” she said, noting her role in initiating and supporting projects that have positively impacted Okaikwei South.

“With the work I have done, I believe I can secure more than 50,000 votes. God be my helper, I will increase the gap” she said confidently.
