Accra Hearts of Oak has confirmed the capture of former Asante Kotoko keeper, Ernest Sowah through its Communications Department.
Kwame Opare Addo who is spokesperson of the club said the 30-year-old penned the deal after being declared a free agent and mutually terminating his contract with the Kumasi-based side.
The Phobians ventured into the transfer market after they were hit with massive goalkeeping problems – where they conceded 13 goals in 11 games despite using their three registered first team goalkeepers in just 11 games into the season.
“Five minutes ago Ernest Sowah came to Hearts’ Secretariat to sign his contract. So as I speak, he has officially joined Hearts of Oak,” Opare Addo told Happy FM.
The former Berekum Chelsea safest pair of hands will replace Theophilus Jackson, who was released from the club for non-performance.
