GNPC poised to find lasting solutions to dwindling production levels of offshore operations

Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Joseph Dadzie, is of the firm belief that establishing an operational presence in the Western Region would further strengthen GNPC’s position as Ghana’s foremost player in the oil and gas sector.

The operational headquarters of the Corporation, known as GNPC Energy House, was recently inaugurated by President Akufo-Addo in Takoradi.

The seven-storey office building will serve as a hub for strategic planning, operational coordination, and technical expertise, enabling the Corporation to streamline its efforts and enhance efficiency in managing its operations in the region and across the country.

Even though recent data points to dwindling production levels from GNPC’s offshore operations, the CEO says solidifying its presence in the region is critical to further enhancing collaboration with key partners and stakeholders in achieving its primary objective.

The House will provide a central location for collaboration with agencies, industry partners, and local communities, enhancing synergy and collaboration in Ghana’s energy sector.

“This we envisage will go a long way to finding lasting solutions to the dwindling production levels and further strengthen our drive to boost economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” noted Mr. Dadzie.

The CEO described the GNPC Energy House as a remarkable milestone that underscores the progress made by the Corporation and the promise of the profound impact aimed to achieve in its quest to become an independent, world-class oil company.
