GNACOPS leadership visits Education Minister to strengthen collaboration

The leadership of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) has paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, aiming to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry and the private education sector.

The visit, led by GNACOPS National Executive Director, Obenfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, served as both a warm welcome to the Minister and a platform to discuss key issues affecting private schools in Ghana.

During the meeting, the delegation raised critical concerns, including the need for clearer policy support, stronger regulatory frameworks, and enhanced collaboration with the Ministry to improve the quality of education nationwide.

In response, Minister Iddrisu expressed his appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with all education stakeholders, including private schools.

He emphasized the government’s determination to create an inclusive educational system that supports both public and private schools, ensuring the best outcomes for Ghanaian students.

The meeting marked an important step in fostering a stronger partnership between the public and private education sectors, reinforcing the essential role private schools play in shaping the nation’s educational landscape.
