The President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, over the weekend donated food items to over 1,000 people in parts of Alajo, Greater Accra.

The items, worth about Ghc 200,000, include rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, drinks, and other assorted goods.

The elderly, children, the less privileged, widows, and widowers at the Alajo Pentecost Church Central Assembly benefited from the gesture.

Hundreds of residents at the Alajo Central also received donations.

Addressing the people of the Alajo Central community, Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour shared that he was born and raised in Alajo and has deep roots in the community.

He stated that, over the last 10 years, he has donated various items to orphanages and selected less privileged individuals.

However, he decided to focus solely on the Alajo community this time, to give back to the place that raised him.

He urged the youth in the community to work hard and strive for excellence in life, adding that perseverance and hard work will lead them to their desired goals by the grace of God.
