Give NAM1 2 years to pay us – Mother of Ghanaian actor pleads

-

Some customers of the embattled gold dealership firm, Menzgold have demanded that the state refunds their investment to them.

However, one Menzgold customer has disagreed with this move and has rather asked the government to allow the CEO of the Company, Nana Appiah Mensah, to operate for two years to pay back investors their monies.

The customer in question is the mother of actor Prince William Darlington, the ex-boyfriend of Afia Schwarzenegger.

Mother of Prince William Darlington, who is popularly known as Darling, has pleaded with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to allow Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) to resume business.

In an interview with Prince Tsegah on Asempa FM’s Zoblazo Show, Darling stated that she has not lost hope of retrieving her money because she believes Appiah Mensah has money saved in the bank.

Appiah Mensah is wanted for defrauding by false pretence and alleged money laundering.

This was after his company Menzgold failed to pay thousands of clients’ returns on their investments.

There has been agitation from clients since September 2018 when the Securities and Exchange Commission ordered his company to shut down its gold trading operation.

At Menzgold, clients buy what is believed to be gold from another company owned by the embattled businessman, Brew Consult and deposit the collectables with Menzgold.

They are promised 7% to 10% monthly returns described by investment experts as risky and unsustainable. Menzgold after months of hesitation is now being called a Ponzi scheme.
