Why Gifty Anti cried a day after giving birth!

-

Oheneyere Gifty Anti, host of weekly television talk show ‘Stand Point’ has shared her touching experience as a mother.
“A day before I was discharged from the hospital after giving birth, I was told to monitor my baby…in the evening I looked in the eyes and realized it was yellow; meaning she has jaundice. Even though I knew it can be treated, I couldn’t hold back my tears…” she told Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of Peacefm’s Kokrokoo Morning Show.
She made this disclosure at the launch of a shortcode (3322) in support of Kokrokroo Charities’ “Project 100” on Monday morning.
According to her, “it is not easy for any mother to hear that her baby is going to be put in an incubator; how much more when you know your pre-term baby might die because of a lack of an incubator”.
She therefore urged all to “come on board in support of ‘Project 100’”.
Project 100
This is a campaign initiated by Kokrokoo Charities Foundation to purchase a total of 100 incubators for health facilities across the country.
The vision of this project is to reduce the mortality rate of children born prematurely or before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
So far, ten incubators have been installed in some regional hospitals across the country.
On Monday, 18th December, 2017, the foundation launched a shortcode to make donation more flexible for Ghanaians.
To contribute to project 100, simply dial 3322 on any MTN network and you will be charged GHC5.
“See the problem, be the solution and make the call today”, is the tagline for the the Kokrokoo Charities Project 100 shortcode.
