Gideon Aryeequaye has been appointed as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), succeeding Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, who has led the agency since its establishment in 2020.

Aryeequaye’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to advance the Black Star Experience agenda, which aims to enhance Ghana’s Culture, Art, and Tourism sectors.

With a strong background in the industry, he previously served as Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role.

The Creative Arts Agency serves as a key institution for the development and management of Ghana’s creative arts industry.

The Executive Secretary, appointed by the President, oversees the agency’s operations and is accountable to the Board under the mandates of the Creative Industry Act (1048).
