GHS speaks as Ghana’s COVID-19 cases drop further

-

Ghana has recorded yet another low figure in its number of COVID-19 new and active cases.

Per updates on the official website of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), 122 new cases have been recorded as of 11 August 2020 with 1,906 active cases.

The total cumulative figures are 41,847.

The number of recoveries/discharge stands at 39,718 and the number of deaths remains 223.

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kumah Aboagye speaking on Peace FM attributed the decline to the adherence to the coronavirus safety protocols.

He however cautioned Ghanaians not to relax just because the rate of infections is on the decrease.

“We plead with everyone to continue wearing their nose mask and abide by the social distancing rule”
