GHPL ‘Super 2 Clash’: Kwesi Appiah tips Kotoko to beat Hearts of Oak

Former Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah has tipped Asante Kotoko to continue their dominance over Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The Phobians will host their sworn rivals at the Accra Sports Sports Stadium in the matchday six fixtures of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The encounter which is obviously the biggest match in Ghana football has been producing some stunning results over the years.

Hearts of Oak heading into the clash with a fine form after going three matches unbeaten.

However, after losing two straight matches, Kotoko returned to winning against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last week.

Speaking to Nhyira FM in an interview, the 59-year-old said the encounter is about who will be strong psychologically but has tipped his former side to win on Sunday.

“I am a Kotoko fan and a former player and everybody knows that. Over the years, matches between Hearts of Oak Kotoko has always been tricky.

“Both teams have to prepare well. The coaches must let every player know his role. For me, you have to be psychologically strong before you can win this match.

“I am tipping Kotoko to win on Sunday because they have good all the matches despite losing two games and I hope they continue their dominance in Accra,” he added.

The match has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
