Ghana has recorded 229 new cases of the Coronavirus disease, bringing the total number of cases to 12,193, the Ghana Health Service has announced.
Fifty-eight persons have so far lost their lives.
The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, announced this on Tuesday, June 15, 2020, at a press briefing organised by the Ministry of Information.
According to him, three out of four of the new deaths were recorded within the Greater Accra region.

The Director-General also announced that the COVID-19 cases in the country have increased to 12,193 with the recoveries also shooting up to 4,326.
He said most of the regions recorded new cases, adding that recent figures show that the Ashanti region has recorded 70 new cases.
