The Education Manifesto Chair for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, has issued a strong call for party unity ahead of the 2024 elections.
Addressing party members at the end of the party’s health walk over the weekend, he warned that Ghanaians would hold the NPP accountable if they fail to secure victory and allow the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to come to power.
Dr. Armah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim and the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, emphasized the importance of the NPP’s achievements under both President Kufuor and the current Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration.
He highlighted key initiatives like the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the School Feeding Programme, and the Free SHS policy as reasons to work diligently to retain power.
He praised the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, expressing confidence in their ability to lead Ghana forward.
Dr. Armah urged NPP members to intensify grassroots campaigning to ensure the party’s message reaches every voter.
He concluded by stressing that the responsibility to keep the NPP in power lies with the party members, cautioning that failure to do so would be unforgivable in the eyes of Ghanaians.
