Ghanaians want Bukom Banku deported from Ghana

-

People are calling for the deportation of Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku exactly a week after he told Ghanaians to sack him out of the country if he fails to knock out his fierce opponent Samir Bastie known as ‘The Beast’, in their Cruiserweight fight at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

According to Banku, Ghanaians should pack his properties and chase him out of the country if he is unable to stop Samir in the fourth or sixth round.

In a video captured by Ghanaweb.com, the bragging boxer even went ahead to tell his followers to call him a foolish person if he fails to knock down his opponent to secure the bragging rights.

However, to the dismay of the self-acclaimed ‘African Mayweather’, he was humbled to earth as he received the humiliation of his life from Bastie in front of over 2,000 boxing fans.

A series of unanswered punches from ‘The Beast’ saw the referee inexplicably jump to Banku’s aid, bizarrely refusing to halt the bout as expected but instead gave him a mandatory eight-second count after a cut above his right eye was treated and he was doused with water by a fan. However, that respite was short-lived, as soon after he returned, Samir sent him crashing to the canvas for the second and final time following relentless combinations which culminated with a powerful right hook to his jaw.

After the humiliation, Bukom Banku was heavily trolled on Social Media with some calling for his exile from Ghana in fulfillment to his affirmation.

In a recent interview on Accra based radio station, Kasapa FM, Bukom Banku stated that no one can sack him out of Ghana.

“Yes, I said Ghanaians should sack me out of Ghana if don’t KO Bastie, but I was just bragging.”

He added “In boxing, you have to brag, I am a Ghanaian and I have a Ghanaian passport so who can sack me. Mohammed Ali used to brag because he wants people to watch his fight, I am a bragging man and I have conceded defeat.”

Bukom Banku has dared Samir Bastie to a rematch.
