Some Ghanaians in the United Kingdom have held a funeral ceremony for the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh was laid to rest on Saturday, April 17, 2021, after a ceremony held the St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
The mourners who gathered on the streets at Tottenham in London were clad in red and black outfits with most of the women wearing traditional ‘kaba’ and slit.
A group of drummers are seen dishing out tunes of kete and adowa from their fontomfrom and atumpan drums just like it is done in the Ashanti region.
For the most part of the funeral, messages were delivered in Twi and translated into English for the non-speakers.
