Chelsea has promoted two talented Ghanaian youngsters, Joshua Acheampong and Tyrique George, to their senior team.

Both players, born in England, have been nurtured within Chelsea’s esteemed academy, earning recognition for their development and potential.

They showcased their abilities during the club’s pre-season tour in the United States at the start of the 2024/25 campaign and have since been training with the first team.

Chelsea’s head coach, Enzo Maresca, praised the young players while officially introducing them to the senior squad.

He commended their impressive performances and encouraged them to continue improving to secure spots in the starting lineup.

This summer, George committed to a long-term contract with the club, while Acheampong signed a deal that extends through 2029, solidifying their futures at Stamford Bridge.

Despite representing England at various youth levels, both players remain eligible to switch allegiance to the Black Stars of Ghana if they choose to.

The duo recently featured in Chelsea’s commanding 5-1 victory over Shamrock Rovers F.C. in the UEFA Conference League, further highlighting their promising potential on the big stage.
