Ghana@68: Independence arts & crafts exhibition set for March in UK

The Ghanaian community in the UK is gearing up for an exciting cultural experience as the Ghana@68 Independence Arts & Crafts Exhibition is set to take place from March 6 to 9, 2025.

This vibrant event will celebrate Ghana’s rich artistic heritage, featuring leather works, painting, cultural performances, and Kente weaving.

The exhibition will kick off at the Lighthouse Theater on March 6 and 7, running from 6 PM to 10 PM each night, with an entry rate of £20.

As part of the celebrations, the much-anticipated Ghana Independence Concert will be held at Indigo O2 on March 8, promising an electrifying night of music and performances.

The event will conclude at Broadwater Farm Community Center on March 9, from 6 PM to 10 PM, with another arts and crafts showcase at £20 per entry.

With a lineup of talented artisans, performers, and cultural displays, the event aims to highlight Ghana’s creative industries while fostering cultural exchange within the diaspora.

Attendees can expect live demonstrations of traditional crafts, energetic drumming and dance performances, and a deeper appreciation of Ghana’s artistic excellence.
