Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan wants the team to maintain their winning streak against Egypt on Wednesday.
The Black Stars’ hopes of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup have been put into tatters after Egypt defeated them by two goals to nil in Alexandria.
The Black Stars are currently leading Group D with six points whiles Egypt are with four points but the former Sunderland striker wants the team to maintain their winning streak in the group phase of the competition.
“On Wednesday it is simple, we want to maintain our 100% record,” Gyan told Asempa FM.
“In such a tournament you have to win games because you might not know the outcome but our main focus is to maintain our 100% record. Even though we are already in the next stage of the competition but we want to build our confidence in every game,” he added.
