The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba has been in the news lately for her unique hairstyle.
While many think it is not important what one has on her head but rather what the person is able to offer, others believe her hairstyle does not complement her current status and position.
Renowned broadcaster and relationship talk “Odo Ahomaso” host Akumaa Mama-Zimbi is one of the many that believe that concentration should be on her ability to do the work and not her hair.
GhanaWeb spoke to her at the just ended Love Concert organized by ace highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena at the National Theatre.
Akumaa believes that the ongoing discussion about Otiko’s hair is needless. She said Otiko is her family, she loves her hair and that Ghanaians should mind their own business and leave her alone to do her work.
Meanwhile, Otiko Afisa Djaba has described her hairstyle as symbolic of the new Ghanaian woman. She said her hairstyle encourages young people.
