Ghana News – Nyaho-Tamakloe wants Pappoe as FA boss

-

There are growing calls for Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi to step down, and Fred Pappoe will be the right man to take his place.

That’s according to former FA boss Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, who has already pointed to the seasoned football administrator to take over the reins. The recent collapse of the Black Stars at the Afcon in Gabon led to passionate calls for a systemic overhaul.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, who marks 12 years in office, has been at the centre of the clamouring, as Ghanaians remain split on the talk for him to resign. His current third term in office tenure ends in 2019.

“Indeed if Kwesi leaves there either through voting or whatever it is, the person I think can handle the FA better is Fred Pappoe,” Nyaho-Tamakloe said.

“We don’t want people who are just crooks and they are looking for money. I don’t think Kwesi is there because of money, no, not at all. Kwesi and Fred Pappoe understand football very well and can run the FA with few problems,” he told Adehye FM.
