A 27-year-old hunter, Ebenezer Arhin has shot his brother David Arhin to death after mistaking him for an animal.
The District Police Commander of Senya Breku in the Central Region, ASP Mathew Amponsem told Adom News’ Kofi Adjei both brothers are hunters and went into a nearby forest for hunting around 11 pm Wednesday.
After separating themselves for some few hours, Ebenezer saw something move like a bush animal, thinking it was a game, shot it but it turned out to be his brother, David who died on the spot.
“The report came that they both went for hunting in the bush. When they got there, they separated. But Ebenezer said he saw his brother from afar as an animal some hours later so he shot.
“Later upon reaching the animal, he realized he had killed his brother in cold blood…” he explained.
Meanwhile, ASP Mathew Amponsem said, the body has been sent to Winneba government hospital in the Central Region.
