Ghana News – 47 police officers re-assigned

A total of 47 officers in the Police top hierarchy have been re-assigned following the third reshuffling exercise by the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, barely a month after assuming office.

Notable amongst the latest shake-up was the transfer of Ashanti Regional Command Public Relations Officer (PRO), ASP Yusif Mohammed Tanko, to occupy the same role in the Northern Regional command while ASP Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Eastern Regional Police Command PRO, to be replaced by ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, moves to the Ashanti Region.

Others transferred included Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Alex Amponsah Asiamah from the Head of Technical Services to the Head of Central Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU), ACP George Alex Mensah, Deputy Director General of Welfare moves to Head the Eastern Regional Command.

ACP Godfred Owusu Boateng with the Mampong Division in the Ashanti Region moves to head the Kpeshie Division in Greater Accra Region, ACP Edward Oduro Kwarteng of the Offinso Division moves to the Upper West Region as Deputy Commander, ACP Francis Doku joins the Volta regional command as Deputy Commander from his Quartermaster-General at the Headquarters.

From the Yendi Division, ACP Okyere Anane Danquah, moves to head the Dansoman Division, ACP Frederick Adu Anim of the Atebubu Division heads to the Madina Division as Officer-In-Charge (OIC), ACP Jonathan Adams Godoe of the Inspection Unit at the Headquarters moves to head the Yendi Division while ACP Victor Gyan Kyereko heads to the Headquarters as Quartermaster-General.

Others were ACP George Tweneboah of the Asankragwa Division, who heads to the Formed Police Unit (FPU) as commander; ACP Kwadwo Antwi Tabi of Dansoman Division moves to Offinso Division as OIC; ACP Anderson Fosu-Ackah moves to the Police Academy as Commandant; ACP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba moves from the Upper West Region as Commandant of GPCSC; ACP Vance Baba Gariba of the Nima Division moves to head the ICT Headquarters in Accra with ACP Isaac Emmanuel Quist heading to the CID Headquarters.

ACP Moses Kpeachin moves to head the Asankrangwa Division from Goaso; ACP Sebastien Wemegah, Director of transport moves to Wenchi Division as OIC; Captain Superintendent (C/Supt) Michael Teku, Chief Staff Officer at the Headquarters moves to Kete Krachi as head of the Division; C/Supt Nantogmah Yakubu Aggrey of the Madina Division moves to the National Headquarters.

C/Supt Ahmed Yakubu moves to Goaso as OIC; C/Supt Francis Tsidi moves to the National Headquarters as Chief Staff Officer; C/Supt Abraham Acquaye moves to the Nima Division as head; C/Supt Augustine Luguyare heads to Sunyani Division as IOC; C/Supt Wisdom Lavoe moves to the Mampong Division from Tamale district as head and C/Supt Samuel Yankey joins the Swedru Division as OIC.

Others were Supt. Dr. Baba Iddrisu, who has been transferred to the National Headquarters as Director of transport; Supt. Samuel Ankumiah heads to the Atebubu Division; Supt. Wisdom Zioku, moves from the Procurement Office at the Headquarters to head the Tamale Division, Supt. George Ankomah joins the Odorkor Division from Kade, Supt. Christopher Klomegah moves to Aveyime district and Supt. William Sarpong joins the procurement office at the Headquarters.

Supt. Afriyie Ameyaw moves to the SWAT Unit, Kumasi, Supt Emmanuel Akonnor joins the Court Unit at the Brong Ahafo Region; Supt. Francis Nchor moves to the national headquarters as Deputy Chief of Staff; Supt. Eric Asiedu Asiamah joins the Anyinam District as OIC; Supt. Alex Safo Adu moves to the Confidential Registry Headquarters and Supt. Christopher Quarcoe moves to the Nima Division as head.

DSP Adolphine Aku Dzansi moves to the CID Legal and Prosecution unit; DSP Richard Boateng Agyapong heads to the Legal Directorate at the National Headquarters; DSP Sandra Asiamah Tawiah takes charge of the Tema region Court Unit; DSP Emmanuel Tetteh moves to Sekondi District as OIC; ASP Emmanuel Ofori-Asante moves to the Tema Court Unit while ASP Abraham Narh Tetteh moves to head the Kade District.
