Joy FM’s Ghana Month celebration reached its peak with an exciting tour of the Volta Region, engaging listeners in a memorable three-day experience.
Dubbed the ‘Volta Adventure,’ the tour ran from Friday, March 21, 2025, to Sunday, March 23, 2025, featuring visits to top tourist attractions including the Kpando Lakeview Zipline, Mount Gemi, Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Amedzofe Waterfalls, and the Canopy Walkway.
Guests were accommodated at the Volta Serene Hotel, where they enjoyed a variety of engaging activities. A borborbor ensemble entertained the group with vibrant traditional music, while patrons showcased their dance skills. The itinerary also included a nightclub session and a movie night.
Before returning to Accra, participants made a stop at Dodi World in Akosombo, where they boarded the Dodi Princess II for a final round of entertainment. The boat ride featured live band performances, food, and drinks, offering a relaxing end to the adventure.
More than just a sightseeing trip, the ‘Volta Adventure’ provided an opportunity for networking and bonding among families, friends, and Joy FM listeners.
According to Joy FM’s Programmes Manager, Edem Knight-Tay, the initiative aimed to promote domestic tourism, arts, and culture. Each year during Ghana Month, Joy FM organizes similar programs to advance this cause.
The ‘Volta Adventure’ was sponsored by Woodin, Serene Insurance, Volta Serene Hotel, and Ekumfi Fruits and Juices.
