Ace satirist and TV talk show host, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) says a crisis has started in Ghana with the recent spate of killings and kidnappings.
Late last year, the Prampram Mankralo, Nene Atsure Benta III was gunned down at Appolonia by unknown persons in connection with a chieftaincy feud while returning from Dodowa.
Early this year, a manager of the Ghana Water Company Limited was shot dead by unknown assailants in Gbangu in the East Mamprusi District of the Northern Region.

A few days after that, the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) in charge of the Tema Port, Mrs Josephine Asante, was stabbed to death at her residence in Tema Community 25.
The latest is the assassination of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale, who helped produce the investigative documentary titled Number 12, which uncovered rot in Ghana and African football.
Also, some nine girls are said to have been kidnapped in Takoradi in the Western Region. Although the suspect is in police custody, he has refused to cooperate with the security agencies and the whereabouts of the girls remain unknown.

Reacting to these developments, KSM told Benjamin Akakpo on the Executive Breakfast Show (EBS) on Class FM on Wednesday, that a crisis has started in Ghana and needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible.
He said: “We do have a crisis because it has started. That’s how it starts, there is kidnapping here, kidnapping there in the Western Region, it is as if it is limited to a location but it has started. And anything that starts spreads unless you nip it in the bud.
“So, yes, we do have a crisis on our hands even if it’s only two people [who have been kidnapped]. We don’t wait for it to extend to 100 people before we stand up and say there is a crisis. A crisis has started and we need to nip it in the bud. The question is: are we equipped to? Are we able to?”
