Ghana has qualified for 2026 World Cup but … – Vorsah

Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has urged the Black Stars to remain focused and committed as they aim for qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points, following impressive back-to-back victories during the March international break. The four-time African champions ended a six-game winless streak with a dominant 5-0 win over Chad, followed by a 3-0 triumph against Madagascar.

Speaking about the team’s current form, Vorsah expressed confidence in Ghana’s chances but stressed the need for continued effort.

“We have to work harder, as we want to qualify. We have already qualified for me, but we have to do the work well, so that we can also go and watch some,” Vorsah told Citi Sports.

“So that we can be happy that as Ghanaians, we have also come to the World Cup,” he added.

Vorsah, who participated in four major international tournaments—including the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and three Africa Cup of Nations campaigns (2010, 2012, 2013)—knows the demands of competing on the global stage.

The Black Stars will resume their World Cup qualifying journey in September 2025, with fixtures against Chad and Mali in Matchdays 7 and 8.
