Thirty-eight patients out of the 161 persons who were receiving treatment after contracting coronavirus have been discharged.
The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu disclosed this to the press Wednesday.
He said “38 people have been discharged, they are being cared for at home and have tested negative. We’ll continue engaging with them.”
He said samples of the discharged patients have been taken to enable them run second tests. He added that his outfit is still observing them.
Mr Agyeman-Manu said there are four cases still on admission at the Ridge Hospital.
“Repeat tests show they are still positive so we’ll continue to monitor them,” he said.
He said the total number of patients being treated at home is now 58; 20 were discharged earlier, in addition to the 38 recently discharged .
