GFA President Kurt Okraku to visit Asante Kotoko secretariat on Thursday

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, is set to visit the Asante Kotoko secretariat on Thursday, February 20, at 13:00 GMT.

A statement from the club confirmed that the meeting is part of ongoing discussions following the tragic death of supporter Francis Frimpong at Nana Koramansah Park during Kotoko’s Matchday 19 clash against Nsoatreman FC.

Asante Kotoko emphasized its commitment to pursuing justice and advocating for meaningful reforms to enhance the safety and integrity of football in Ghana.

**“Asante Kotoko SC wishes to inform our supporters and the general public that the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Kurt Okraku, will pay a visit to the club’s leadership on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the club’s secretariat.

“This meeting forms part of ongoing engagements following the tragic events at the Nana Koramansah Park, and we welcome the GFA President’s visit as we continue to seek justice and meaningful reforms for the safety and integrity of Ghanaian football,”** Asante Kotoko said in its notice.

In the meantime, Asante Kotoko is expected to resume training in the coming days.
