Ghanaian high-life artist, Terry Asare Boamah popularly known as Dada-Hafco, has entreated the hierarchy of the Ghana football Association (GFA) to freshen the association by bringing on board new faces with fresh ideas who are very knowledgeable in football.
His call comes after several Ghanaians urged the president of the Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, and his Executive Committee members to resign in order to prevent Ghana football from sinking further into the deep seas.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ladies Time Show, the ‘Bedi Ankɔ’ singer said: “introducing former players and other professionals with keen interest in football would bring new perspectives to the running of the GFA and also enable the FA to organize the local league more professionally, make it more competitive and attractive to Ghanaians”.
“I believe it’s about time the current leadership of the GFA gives way for fresh ideas; we need fresh administrators in Ghana football”, he added.
President Kwasi Nyantakyi’s administration has had its highs and lows but with Nyantakyi eyeing bigger positions at CAF and FIFA, there are calls for him to leave the Ghana job.
Meanwhile, the current GFA Vice President, George Afriyie and several astute football administrators, both past and present, have expressed their desire to occupy the seat.
