-

Former Black Stars Management Member, Oluboi Commodore, has hinted that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is wrapping up a deal to secure a headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League.

The country’s football topflight football has been without a headline sponsor since the resumption of football activities.

Before the premiering of the ‘Number 12’ documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas that uncovered rot in Ghana football, football activities were headlined by Zylofon Cash as a sponsor.

Following a meeting with the 18 Premier League clubs on Tuesday at the premises of the Ghana FA, the former Black Stars management member says the country’s football governing body is on the verge of securing a headline sponsor for the Premier League.

“We held a fruitful discussion with the Ghana FA Executive Council Members and they have been promising so far,” the Accra Great Olympics director told Asempa FM.

“The FA is on the verge of wrapping a sponsorship deal with a local firm. This is what we have been crusading for and I know all the clubs will be happy with sponsorship,” he added.
