GFA Elections: Ex-Kwesi Nyantakyi’s Deputy sends unpleasant message to Osei Palmer

Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential hopeful, George Afriyie, has jabbed disqualified Winfred Osei Palmer, saying even if he is allowed to contest the upcoming elections, the maximum votes he will get is 15.

The former Vice President of the GFA under then President Kwesi Nyantakyi on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show confidently said he had looked through all the manifestos of the other aspirants and that his is the best.

He further revealed that in terms of football, Dreams FC owner, another contender, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, is a small boy and that he should sit back, relax and learn more because his time is not due.

“Palmer is a very good material; me I wanted him to come because I know that if he contests the maximum votes he will get is 10 or 15. He can come and challenge me on this and we will consult the delegates and see,” he boasted.

“It’s been only two years and some months now Kurt came in the Executive Committee; he should sit back, relax and learn from us because his time is not due. Though he is qualified, he should come and ride on my back because I welcomed him on the Executive Committee,” he added.

Mr Afriyie and five others are contesting for the position of the GFA presidency which will be decided on October 25, 2019.

The Liberty Professionals Director is number two on the ballot paper.
