The Public Relations Officer, (PRO) of the Ghana Education Service, Cassandra Twum Ampofo has donated learning materials to needy pupils at Bethany Basic School at Dzorwulu in Accra, as part of activities to mark her birthday.
This she said, was her means of assisting these young pupils with materials that would enable them to realize their academic potential at the basic level.
According to her, the only way to show appreciation to God for adding another year to her age is to extend a helping hand to the needy in her field of work.
“God has been so good to me, that he has added another year to my age today and the best way to express my appreciation is to touch the lives of these needy students in my own small way with these books to assist their studies,” She said.
She also advised the students to take their education seriously as it is the only means to harness their God-given potentials.
The headteacher, Mr. Sarfo, expressed deep appreciation to the GES PRO for the gesture and promised to supervise the purposeful usage of the books.
He expressed the hope that these books will go a long way to assist the students in their academics.
