Communications Director of the Greater Accra Regional Circles Council of Asante Kotoko, Mr. Nii Darko says the supporters of the club will soon embark on a massive demonstration against the management and leadership of the club.
According to the supporters’ executive, the demonstration is not necessitated by the club’s exit from the 2018 CAF Confederations cup; instead, they are not happy with how management has addressed and dealt with issues concerning the club.
“It is true we are planning to demonstrate against Management of the club and not because we existed the Confederations Cup but our management have failed in addressing some issues. Management did not give us any reason for sacking Pollack and we demand to know what led to his sack”, he said.
The spokesperson of the supporters union said the dwindling fortunes of the club is not technical but purely managerial and the management of the team must change their ways of leading the club.
“It is unfortunate Dr. Kwame Kyei has employed the wrong people and they are not helping the club. It is unheard of to hire five coaches in a year. This management also has caused many divisions in the supporters’ fronts”, Nii Darko added.
Asante Kotoko parted ways with British trainer Steve Pollack after the club exited the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round.
