The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has announced a ban on drumming and noise making. The ban takes effect from May 8 and ends on June 8, 2017.
The Assembly asked all residents within the metropolis to minimize their noise levels if they embark on any outdoor activities.
The Assembly said it has set up a joint task force team to ensure there is little or no incident during the one month ban.
The ban on drumming and noise-making is to usher in the celebration of the Ga festival, Homowo.
Churches and mosques are expected to alter their style of worship during the period.
