Fuel prices fall for second consecutive pricing window in August

-

Petroleum product consumers are expressing relief as they fill up at oil marketing companies (OMCs), thanks to a slight reduction in fuel prices.

This drop in prices marks the beginning of the second pricing window for August and continues the trend from the first pricing window earlier this month.

State-owned GOIL, for example, has reduced the price of petrol (Super XP) to GHȼ14.22 from GHȼ14.42 in the previous pricing window. Diesel (Diesel XP) has also seen a decrease, now selling at GHȼ14.90, down from GHȼ14.99.

More OMCs are expected to follow suit by lowering their pump prices in the coming days.
