Francis Kotia takes over as new Director of Passport

Francis Kotia has taken over as the Director of Operations of the Passport Office from Amanor Daku-Mante who has been re-assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a handing over ceremony held on Friday in Accra, the immediate past Passport Director Mr Amanor Daku-Mante urged the staff of the passport office to support the new Director just as they supported him.

“I thank you all for the warm reception given me and will entreat you to do same for my successor. I will plead with you to support him with your knowledge and experiences to ensure a successful passport office.”

He also acknowledged his successor and urged him to do his best for the office.

“I have known you [Mr Kotia] to be a very humble person and I, therefore, trust that you would be able to work closely with the staff in order to achieve the objectives of the office,” the departing Director urged his successor.

Mr Kotia, in turn, gave a short profile of himself, expressing hope that the little experience he has gained from working over the years will come in handy to help in the achievement of the passport office.

Mr Kotia, before his assumption of office, was the Director of Multilateral Relations Bureau of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
