Four independent Members of Parliament(MPs) have announced plans to join the National Democratic Congress(NDC) MPs who are the Majority caucus.
The independent MPs are Worlase Kpeli(Afram Plain North), Stanley Yaw Nandaya(Wulensi), Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus (Gomoa Central) and Kwame Ohene Frimpong(Asante Akyem North).
The Majority Leader and Ajumako Enyan Essiam MP, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson announced their decision during the first sitting on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
However, the Speaker, Alban Bagbin has asked the four MPs to write officially to him on the subject.
This arose in the formation of committees in Parliament.
Meanwhile, the House has already composed the Appointment Committee which has 12 and five members from the Majority and Minority Caucuses respectively.
