Norwich City Sporting Director, Ben Knapper, is confident that newly signed midfielder Forson Amankwah will bring significant quality to their team.
The Championship club has secured the 21-year-old on a four-year contract from Austrian side RB Salzburg.
Knapper praised Amankwah’s skills and versatility, highlighting his development through an excellent player development system and his experience in the Champions League, as well as his role as a senior international with Ghana.
“Forson is a talented and very well-rounded player, who will add quality and versatility to our squad,” he told the official club website.
“He’s progressed through a fantastic player development system and brings with him experience in both the Champions League, as well as being a senior international with Ghana.
“We feel he is a great fit for us, and I’m sure that we can develop him further and achieve great things together,” he added.
Amankwah will wear the number 18 jersey at Norwich City. He has already made his debut for Ghana’s national team, having played 88 minutes in friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda in March.
The transfer is pending international clearance and approval from relevant regulatory bodies.
