The late Samuel Nuamah, a Ghanaian Times presidential correspondent who tragically lost his life in a presidential press corps accident on August 20, 2015, was remembered by his colleagues on the ninth anniversary of his passing.
Members of the presidential press corps who were in the same vehicle with Nuamah during the fatal accident but survived gathered at the Osu Cemetery to honor and commemorate their former colleague.
The accident, which occurred as the journalists were returning to Accra after covering a church event in Ho attended by then-President John Mahama, claimed Nuamah’s life at the age of 37.
The Ford GMC bus carrying the press team crashed into the bush after a rear tire burst, leading to Nuamah’s untimely death at the scene.
On this poignant anniversary, his colleagues paid their respects by visiting his graveside on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, reflecting on his contributions and the impact of his loss.
