Former Kotoko coach drags club to FIFA

A former Asante Kotoko head coach, Kjetil Zachariasen, has dragged the club to FIFA over unpaid compensation.

The Norwegian trainer who was accused of coaching the club with a falsified certificate was shown the exit the after failing to achieve the target given to him by the club he spent four months with.

The former Ashgold gaffer failed to qualify the club to the group phase of the CAF Champions League.

Following their demotion to the CAF Confederations Cup, the Porcupine Warriors also failed to make it to the group phase of the competition.

However, reports say the 54-year-old has reported the Ghanaian giants to FIFA over unpaid US$ 12,150 compensation.

Below is the breakdown of his demands.

  • 3 months salary = $9,000
  • Pro-rata Salary for November = $1,200
  • Remainder of bonus (Kano Pillars) = $1,000
  • Remainder of bonus (Etoile) = $ 500
  • Five months Phone Calls = $450
  • TOTAL = $12,150.00

]Asante Kotoko are yet to issue a response to the latest development.

Kjetil Zachariasen was replaced by Maxwell Konadu as the head coach of the club.
