Former First Lady Naadu Mills visits Mahama

Ernestina Naadu Mills, the wife of the late former President Prof. Evans Atta Mills, paid a courtesy call on President John Mahama on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

The visit to the residence of the first family was to congratulate President Mahama on his election and inauguration as President of Ghana.

Mrs. Mills was warmly received by President Mahama, First Lady Lordina Mahama, and their son, Sharaf Mahama.

Since the death of her husband, Naadu Mills has remained an influential figure in Ghanaian public life, advocating for education and social welfare.

Mr. Mahama served as Vice President under the late Atta Mills from January 7, 2009, to July 24, 2012. After the untimely death of Atta Mills on July 24, 2012, Mr. Mahama was constitutionally sworn in as Ghana’s President.
