The newly-elected Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has urged members of his party to focus on the successes of their just-ended congress.
The 9th Congress of the party, according to some delegates, is the worst and didn’t match expectations but Mr Gyamfi has urged such members to pay attention to the good sides of the Congress since they outweigh whatever hitches may have happened.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Sammy Gyamfi said the NDC had made history on the political scene of Ghana, looking at the number of delegates who voted at this year’s congress.
“This is the first time we have had over 9,000 delegates and about 4,000 observers at a party’s national congress. Our party was more interested in the credibility, the integrity, and the transparency and that was what we have achieved no,” he explained.
He said the fact that those who lost have conceded defeat and congratulated winners means there was no chaos or misunderstanding whatsoever.

He, however, said the executives have taken note of all the criticisms and are going to work hard to improve things in the party and its future Congresses.
