Heavy rains have hit various parts of the country, leaving some residents stranded in affected areas.

The downpour has resulted in flooding and difficult conditions for many, prompting the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to issue an urgent notice to the public.

The GNFS has called on those trapped or stranded by the rain to contact their emergency services for immediate assistance.

In a statement, they advised the public to reach out to their control room via 192 or 030 2772446, assuring that help would be dispatched promptly to affected locations.

As reports continue to come in about people struggling with waterlogged roads and rising water levels, the GNFS emphasizes its commitment to providing support during the rainy season.

The service has urged the public to remain vigilant, stay indoors if possible, and seek shelter to stay safe from the ongoing rains.
