Fire has destroyed several shops at Asante Bekwai in the Ashanti region.
The fire is said to have destroyed a pharmacy, a furniture and boutique shops among others.
Reports gathered by Adom News suggested that the incident happened after working hours on Monday.

Narrating the incident in an interview, a witness disclosed about 15 shops were destroyed by the fire.
“Though the cause of fire is yet to be known, I believe it was rubbish that was burning nearby that sparked the fire which extended into a mechanic shop,” he narrated.

According to the witness, several property worth millions of cedis were lost to the fire.
