Fire guts residential property at Mallam Atta

-

Some residential apartments at the Mallam Atta market in Accra have been engulfed by fire.

Reports indicate that, the fire began at about 5 pm on Tuesday, which has resulted in damage.

Fortunately, nobody has been burnt; however, people have lost their property.

Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service says the situation is under control.

Although the initial cause of the fire is not known, the Fire Service say they will conduct an investigation into the matter.

Residents have, however, blamed the Fire Service for delay in reaching the area.

But the Service has denied the claims. They insist that said they received a call at 6:08 pm and reached the location 6:16pm.

Therefore, it is unfair to claim that the fire service delayed.
