A fire outbreak has destroyed a 10-bedroom house at Attechem near Dunkwa-On-Offin in the Central Region.
The Dunkwa-On-Offin Fire Station received a distress call at approximately 12:11 PM and swiftly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found the structure engulfed in flames.
Despite their efforts to salvage some belongings and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties, the house and its contents were completely destroyed.
Preliminary investigations by the Ghana National Fire Service suggest that the fire was caused by negligence, as a lit match reportedly came into contact with flammable materials.
Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution and follow fire safety guidelines to prevent similar incidents.
