Fire broke out at the Kumasi South Hospital in Atonsu Agogo, Ashanti Region, engulfing a Ford Explorer with registration number AW 9512-12.
The incident caused panic and concern among hospital staff and patients.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started suddenly, and despite initial attempts by hospital staff to extinguish it using handheld extinguishers, the flames quickly spread, engulfing the vehicle.
Fire Service personnel were called to the scene, but they delayed leaving hospital staff and bystanders to battle the blaze.
Eventually, a fire tender was dispatched from the BOST Fire Post located at Kaase, arriving in time to assist in containing the fire.
Despite the efforts of the firefighters, the Ford Explorer was completely destroyed by the fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the blaze was successfully contained, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures to cause further damage.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
Meanwhile, hospital authorities are assessing the extent of the damage and are working to ensure the safety and security of patients and staff at the facility.
