Fire destroys restaurant, shops at Dzorwulu

-

A devastating fire broke out early Wednesday, January 29, behind the Trinity Gas filling station in Dzorwulu, destroying several properties and leaving significant damage.

The inferno swept through a cluster of wooden structures, reducing businesses and shops in the area to ashes.

Initial investigations suggest the fire may have originated from Urban Taste restaurant located behind the gas station.

The restaurant’s kitchen and adjoining properties were completely destroyed.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded swiftly, with fire trucks arriving just 15 minutes after the incident was reported.

Three tenders and personnel from Abelemkpe and Headquarters are working tirelessly to prevent the blaze from spreading to nearby commercial properties.

While no casualties have been reported, affected business owners and residents are counting their losses as investigations continue into the cause of the fire.

The GNFS is urging the public to adhere to fire safety measures to prevent similar occurrences.
