A tragic fire outbreak has left 31-year-old fashion designer and trainer, Mr. Eric Gyamfi, devastated after his entire fashion shop was reduced to ashes at Abuakwa Maakro in the Ashanti Region.
The inferno, suspected to have been caused by power fluctuations, destroyed property valued at over GHS 150,000, including 12 sewing machines, a television, customers’ clothing materials, and several other valuable fashion items.
Recounting the ordeal, Eric Gyamfi revealed that there was a power outage on Tuesday evening before he closed the shop.
At about 1 a.m. on Wednesday, when power was restored, he received a distress call informing him that his shop was engulfed in flames.
He arrived to find his livelihood completely destroyed, with nothing left to salvage.
The disaster has left Eric heartbroken, as he has lost his entire business and is now facing additional pressure from some customers who are demanding their clothing materials despite the tragic circumstances.
