The 2024 edition of the Tutudoza Festival, celebrated by the chiefs, elders, and people of the Avenor Traditional Area in Akatsi, Volta Region, has been officially launched at the Letsa Korba Hall of the Akatsi College of Education.
This event sets the stage for a vibrant traditional display and a gathering of both sons and daughters of Avenor, as well as non-indigenes, to promote the growth of the community.
The festival is held under the royal patronage of Togbe Dorglo Anumah VI, the president of the Avenor Traditional Council and the Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area.
Vice Chairman of the Festival Central Planning Committee, Dr. Sena Kpeglo-Freiku, noted in an interview with Adom News that this year’s celebration, scheduled for November 2024, will feature a series of activities, including the annual pilgrimage to ‘Datsutagba’, a health walk, musical concerts, and more.
Dr. Kpeglo-Freiku called on all Avenor indigenes and non-indigenes to unite in support of a purposeful celebration.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Fostering Peace and Unity for Sustainable Development in Avenor.
He urged all political parties and Ghanaians to uphold the peace that the nation currently enjoys, both during and after the elections.
Furthermore, he reaffirmed the Avenor Traditional Area’s dedication to protecting the environment and preserving the country’s vegetation.
