A NORMAL misunderstanding between two drivers on a road suddenly turned bloody after one of them, who is a fetish priest, fired series of gun shots, injuring the other driver and five other people.
Kwaku Appiah aka ‘Spiritual Father’, a popular fetish priest at Yaasore in the Asenua Electoral Area, near Mamponteng in the Ashanti Region, reportedly led some thugs to carry out the weird action.
According to reports, Spiritual Father and his cohorts, who were well-armed, also destroyed a mosque and some vehicles during their dangerous invasion of the victims’ house in the evening.
The fetish priest and two of his accomplices had since been remanded for three weeks, the paper was told by people, who witnessed the shocking spectacle which occurred a week ago.
So far, the six people, who sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds, had been discharged from the hospital, except one, who is said to be in a critical condition.
Assemblyman for Asenua Electoral Area, Kaakyire Asumadu, who confirmed the report to DAILY GUIDE, stated that the incident occurred at Yaasore in the evening of the Eid-Ul-Adha festival.
He said the victims, who are Muslims, were in their vehicle going home at a time Spiritual Father was also returning home and were using the same route.
According to him, Spiritual Father realizing that the victims’ vehicle which was ahead of him was moving slowly honked his horn to make them speed up and that generated into a hot argument.
Asumadu claimed that Spiritual Father who got extremely irked dashed home, picked a pump action gun and rushed to the house of the victims threatening to shoot them but was restrained from doing so by some people, who seized the gun.
Later on, Mr Asumadu narrated, Spiritual Father, still brimming with rage, went for a different gun and accompanied by some thugs, shot at the victims in their house, injuring six people, who were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
He said the fetish priest and his men also destroyed a mosque and some vehicles at the scene.
